About the event
Quarterly training completions are a requirement of the Ongoing Training and Evaluation Program (OTEP). EMS providers must complete at least one approved training activity per quarter. The 4th quarter deadline is on December 21, 2023.
All annual training requirements must also be met by this date:
- EMR/EMT Providers: You must complete all 6 lectures with applicable skills stations.
- IV Tech/AEMT/Paramedic: You must attend a minimum of 8 Base Stations, including a minimum of 1 in-person skill station.
4th Quarter Training Schedule:
BLS (EMT/EMR):
- October: Geriatric Emergencies/Falls
ILS/ALS (IV Tech, AEMT, Paramedic)
- October - Trauma Skills Station - must attend in person
- November - GEMS Part 1
- December - GEMS Part 2

Providers who do not meet the quarterly or annual training requirement will be transitioned from the OTEP method of recertification to the CME method of recertification through the remainder of their current recertification cycle and will return to OTEP upon recertification.
