ABOUT THE MASON COUNTY EMS & TRAUMA COUNCIL
The Mason County EMS & Trauma Council is comprised of representatives from fire and EMS agencies of Mason County, 911 dispatch, law enforcement, the Department of Emergency Management, hospital districts, and delegates of the Mason County Commissioners.
We serve as an advisory board to the Mason County Commissioners, under the advisement of the NW Regional EMS and Trauma Care Council and the Washington State Department of Health.
The primary function of the Mason County EMS & Trauma Council is to oversee the coordination, evaluation, planning, and development of standards and regulations for a quality county emergency medical system.
At Mason County EMS & Trauma Council, we’re committed to encouraging both volunteer and career EMS providers to continuously grow and learn. Our Ongoing Training and Evaluation Program (OTEP) curriculum reflects this commitment, as well as the expanded protocols our providers are trained to perform within.
In addition to our OTEP program, we offer a variety of EMS courses and programs, sponsored by the Washington State Department of Health. Browse our site to learn more, and get in touch if you have any questions.
The council meets virtually on the third Thursday of each month. Meeting invitations including the link to attend are sent to council members via email.
